AbstractVia the selection and optimization of extraction solvents and apparatus parameters, an efficient method for the determination of ribavirin in animal derived food was developed. Samples were extracted by water, purified by solid phase extraction with HyperSep HyperCarb, quantified using isotope internal standard and detected by ultra high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. The results show that ribavirin had good linearities in the range of 0.5010.0 μg/L, with the correlation coefficient more than 0.999. The recoveries were from 89.9% to 102.7%, and the relative standard deviations were from 3.84% to 8.09%. This method has good purification, recovery rate, precision and sensitive, and it is suitable for quantitative analysis of ribavirin in animal derived food.
